How We Got Our Name
Derived from Morvarid, the Farsi word for “pearl”, Pearly Smiles became a natural name for a practice built on nurturing healthy teeth and gums from day.
Meet Dr. Mori Aletomeh
After completing her undergraduate degree in nutrition, Dr. Mori earned a Dental Degree at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC and trained in hospital dentistry at UCLA. With a mission to instill lifelong healthy oral care habits in children, Dr. Mori pursued a two-year specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester, one of the most established and prestigious programs in the country. In 2020, Dr. Mori started a Redondo Beach pediatric dentistry to create a practice that provides positive experiences for kid’s first dental appointments and shapes the kind of confidence-building pearly smiles that extend long into adulthood. Dr. Mori’s commitment to pediatric oral care education extends beyond her practice. As a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Mori and her team know to pay attention to your child’s emotional and developmental needs. Our South Bay pediatric dentistry is located in Palos Verdes adjacent. We have tailored it to approach each child individually so they have a happy, comfortable experience and look forward to their next dental visit.

Meet Dr. Sydney Honnlee
Dr. Sydney has been passionate about orthodontics since childhood, inspired by her mother, the original orthodontist in the family. By the age of five, she knew she wanted to help people achieve confident, beautiful smiles.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, and went on to complete her orthodontic residency at the University of Detroit Mercy. Now, as a dedicated orthodontist, Dr. Sydney is committed to providing personalized, high-quality care to help you achieve your dream smile.
Fun Fact: When she’s not crafting beautiful smiles, Dr. Sydney enjoys snowboarding, exploring new culinary experiences with her husband, and relaxing at home with her two beloved cats, Mika+ Luffy!
